This break in March, school children are not the only ones who are spending their week away from their classrooms. Tourism operators in Georgian Bay are witnessing the profits of an unlimited March break, with a lot of bookings favorable to fetch big dollars this week.

For the Blue Mountains, the last one year has made a visible difference.

As per Andrew Siegwart, the President of the Blue Mountain Village Association, reservations at the ski resort have almost reached the levels seen before the pandemic, thereby compensating for a convenient yet eventful March break.

Siegwart said that they are surely in an improved status compared to last year’s March break. He opined that as observed through a major part of last year, deferrals in international flights became a big problem.

Families in the region have been wishing to enjoy quality time with their family and friends.

That means that once they have hit the slopes, a lot of shoppers and diners in the village are yearning to keep business holders contented.

Siegwart said that they are certainly witnessing that inflow in tourism dollars. This is something which is being witnessed for many around Georgian Bay as well.

At Georgian Bay Hotel, reservations for families have been witnessed strongly of late. It is an advantage for the hotel that gets to witness its top season throughout the summer months.
