Hospitality giant Marriott International has ceased operations of its JW Marriott Dubai hotel in Deira.
According to the hotel website, the four-star property closed its doors on May 12 due to “circumstances” that were beyond the control of the hospitality group.
The hotel website said, “The hotel will not be open for business as of midnight (GST) on Sunday, 12 May 2019. We are working closely with impacted associates, guests, and business partners and taking steps to promote a smooth transition.”
The hotel, located on Abu Baker Al Siddique Road near the Hamarain Shopping Centre, featured a rooftop pool and 10 food and beverage outlets.
Marriott also operates the JW Marriott Marquis property in Dubai’s Business Bay, which was launched in 2013.
