Marriott International, Inc. inked signed an agreement with resort operator Melco Resorts & Entertainment to introduce the W Hotels brand to Macau.
W Macau – Studio City is scheduled to open in December 2022.
Macau’s super-charged energy and identity as an entertainment hub makes it a natural fit for W Hotels, said Henry Lee, President, Greater China, Marriott International.
Lee also said that they are excited to work together with Melco to introduce W Macau Studio City in line with Marriott International’s ‘Brand + Destination’ development strategy and bring the brand’s luxury lifestyle to Macau.
Situated in the heart of Cotai, W Macau Studio City will become the centerpiece for Studio City Phase 2, a multi-complex development that includes indoor and outdoor water parks, cineplexes and MICE facilities.
W Macau – Studio City will have 557 guestrooms, including 127 suites, a spa, fitness centre, and an indoor swimming pool.
The hotel is also set to include two destination dining venues – one featuring international cuisine with an Asian twist, and another serving fine Chinese and Portuguese dishes.
W Macau – Studio City is slated to feature a W Sound Suite, the brand’s signature, on-site recording studio as well as a WOOBAR.
The new hotel will offer 1,100 square metres of event and meeting space.
