MATCHER- Travel Business Opportunities, Brazilian tourism marketplace, partners with resort, luxury

Travel Business Opportunities, the most effective marketplace for Brazilian tourism products, to be held on May 19-20, in Fortaleza, Ceará (Northeast Brazil), has already confirmed the participation of some of the most relevant suppliers in the country, as well as partnering with four major trade associations, which should ensure an event with professionals and companies that are even more focused to do business and able to offer a high-quality reception to visitors from around the world.



With just over five months to go until the 2020 edition, the participation of Resorts Brasil, the Brazilian Luxury Travel Association (BLTA), the Integrated Park and Tourist Attraction System (SINDEPAT) and the National Union of Convention & Visitors Bureaux and Destination Entities (UNEDESTINOS) has already been confirmed.



According to Resorts Brasil, 11% of the guests of the units that are its members are of foreign origin, most of them coming from Germany, Argentina, Chile, Spain, United States, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Therefore, the entity emphasizes the importance and the strengthening of its participation in the business meeting, where it will be able to meet with buyers from over 25 countries. “MATCHER is an important event for the development of the Brazil destination in the international market. The format with business meetings between buyers and suppliers generates effective results, which guarantees its sustainability and arouses our interest in participating again,” commented Sérgio Souza, president of the association.



“I believe that MATCHER 2020 will not only be an important action to promote Brazil in the international market, but also a solid way to qualify professionals to sell and promote their destination abroad,” said Simone Scorsato, CHIEF of BLTA.



“We believe that it is important to support initiatives that expand opportunities for our associates, namely stimulating the marketing of products – parks and attractions – to the international market. MATCHER allows this face-to-face meeting with potential buyers, which expands the possibilities for good business,” said Carolina Negri, CEO of SINDEPAT.



In order to make Brazilian tourist destinations even better known, UNEDESTINOS also confirms its support for the business meeting. “The consolidation of Brazil through UNEDESTINOS associates with the international market joins efforts to build trust between Brazilian suppliers and international buyers,” said Toni Sando de Oliveira, president of the entity.






The 2020 edition of MATCHER, the most effective marketplace for domestic suppliers to do business with tour operators of various nationalities has an online structure including contacts and pre-appointment of meetings with major international market operators through its innovative matchmaking tool, in which buyers and suppliers can find the right partners to prospect by setting their profile and business interests, resulting in assertive choices from the companies with which they wish to partner with and do business.



“MATCHER has attracted the interest of destinations, tourism companies and national and international airlines. In the next edition, we will increase the number of buyers and suppliers, with a renewal of at least 30% of the international buyers who were with us in the first edition, held in 2019. With that, we will bring tourism operators from over 25 countries that already work with Brazil, as well as those who do not work but have potential and interest, to meet with Brazilian suppliers and destinations, focusing on segments such as sun & beach, ecotourism, adventure, MICE, culture, gastronomy, history, and heritage,” said Jeanine Pires , director of MATCHER.
