Medical issue prompts emergency landing of Aer Lingus flight

Aer-Lingus-smallAn aircraft of Aer Lingus enroute to Cork had to go for an emergency landing.

 

Flight EI-845 had taken off from Amsterdam and was heading towards the Irish airport, but then it was compelled to land in Cardiff. Reports have indicated that there was a medical emergency on board and thereafter an ambulance met the plane as soon as it landed.

 

A spokesperson for Cork airport confirmed that the flight had been diverted on account of an emergency.

 

A regional news media of Ireland contacted the airlines for comments on this issue.

 

The plane of Aer Lingus was able to make a perfectly safe landing around 9.05 p.m. The authorities of the airline stated that the safety of its passengers is its highest priority and their team promptly responded following the emergency protocols.

 

The airport is open and is functioning as normal and none of its services has been impacted in any way whatsoever, due to the abrupt landing of this airplane.
