Four Seasons Hotel Baku started a culinary adventure with its first pop up dedicated to the famous Italian dessert tiramisu, and now continues with the next one called “Cheesecake Crush.”
Behind the Bite
Originally coming from ancient Greece, this dessert has gone through numerous changes and gracefully transformed into the shape we see and enjoy now. The Hotel’s pastry team led by Suraj Karmakar elevated the cheesecake recipes to the next level by crafting the menu of five different cheesecakes: “Revived” salted caramel cheesecake, “Burnt” Basque cheesecake, “Unbaked” mango passionfruit cheesecake, “All-Time Favourite” Oreo cheesecake and “Frozen” cheesecake sundae.
There is a story behind each cheesecake and this is exactly why they are unique in their own way. The “Revived” cheesecake has this name for a reason: the Pastry team has brought new life to one of the most favourite desserts of the Hotel’s guests from back in the days when it had just opened in Baku. Executive Pastry Chef Suraj Karmakar enhanced the recipe and revived it from the past.
“There is a saying – everything new is well-forgotten old. Sometimes you need to turn back time to get inspired in the present,” says Suraj.
The team at Four Seasons Hotel Baku is excited to reveal all the secrets each of the cheesecake crushes holds. Guests are invited to discover flavours and enjoy the Cheesecake Crush Pop Up for a month served on the Eyvan Terrace, Piazza Lounge and Zafferano Restaurant. Do not forget to capture this moment by sharing it on social media using the hashtag #FSCheesecakeCrush.
