Meeting numbers 6% up for IBTM World

IBTM World has smashed its record for pre-arranged meetings at the first stage of its bespoke appointment matching process, with meeting numbers up 6% up on last year’s total at this stage. There has also been an increase year-on-year in the average number of appointments per exhibitor.

 

 

The pre-arranged meetings for IBTM World is up by 6% as compared to the same period last year. A year-on-year increase in the average number of appointments per exhibitor has also been seen.

 

 

The latest figures revealed that 50% of the Hosted buyers are new to the IBTM portfolio and 61% are new to the IBTM World. This will give the exhibitor more opportunities to do business with new contacts.

 

 

David Thompson, Exhibition Director said that he felt delighted to announce such strong results at this stage of the event preparation. It is expected that they will have another record-breaking event in terms of the number of high-quality opportunities for their customers to do business. It’s also a huge boost for their team as they are entering the final stages of preparation for the event.

 

 

They will continue to work hard to secure the highest calibre buyers for IBTM World, and to bring new buyers to the event to give their  exhibitors a wealth of potential new business opportunities.

 

 

IBTM World is committed to building on the success of previous years to deliver more, even better quality meetings for our customers.

Buyers from 77 countries have been confirmed along with delegates from globally renowned businesses including: Google, Adobe, ICBC Bank, La Caja Seguras, BBVA France, Dell, Whirlpool, BMW, European Society of Cardiology and International Association for Enterprise Information Security.

 

An Elite Corporate Buyers programme  has also been launched this year that will bring senior event planners from FTSE 500 or equivalent to the event which will provide additional opportunities for exhibitors to connect with high-level partners.

 

This is created in association with American Express Meeting and Events which is a division of American Express Global Business Travel which is supported by Event Marketing Association by London & Partners and Hilton, the Elite Corporate Programme which includes four sessions addressing some of the key challenges that the senior corporate event organizers face.

 

The Association programme returns this year and is created in partnership with the Association of Association Executive (AAE). There will be eight topical sessions that will address the key challenges which the event organizers are facing.

 

 

A peer-to-peer networking event called Associations Connect will happen in association with ICCA.

 

 

IBTM Accelerate zone will attract and nurture entrepreneurial talent and incorporate exhibitors and eductaion sessions providing delegates the opportunity to learn from other successful MICE entrepreneurs and share ideas with the peers.
