Meghalaya bags ‘Most Promising New Destination’ award

Conrad Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya stated that the state has been awarded the ‘Most Promising New Destination’ designation at the Travel and Tourism Fair in Hyderabad this year. Posting in Twitter, CM Sangma said that Meghalaya has been conferred the MOST PROMISING NEW DESTINATION reward at the Travel and Tourism Fair Hyderabad 2022. He congratulated the entire team of Meghalaya Tourism for this honor.

Meghalaya Tourism also shared the news of this award recognition on Twitter. Meghalaya which was found on January 21, 1972, is an eye-catching state in the eastern part of India and its capital is Shillong. The state is extremely well-known for its stunning mountain ranges, heavy precipitation, beautiful sunshine, elevated plateaus, splendid waterfalls, rivers and grasslands.

The flat terrain of Meghalaya is the center of appeal for all visiting tourists and most of the tropical forests are found in the state. Here, one can see birds, insects, mammals and reptiles. Tourist attractions in the state are always packed with tourists coming from India and overseas countries.
