The city of Melbourne celebrates its annual colourful parade festival- Moomba parade 2018 which kicked off around 10.45am in Birdwood Avenue. During this annual fest, more than thousands of locals and international tourists gather.
Moomba parade 2018 began with its glamour with the active participation of 2000 bright and creative personalities all over the world. These parade participants travelled the new route through Kings Domain parkland and finished at Linlithgow Avenue, near Queen Victoria Gardens.
The iconic parade features community-designed floats, cultural performance troupes, professional and amateur dance groups, and school groups. The cloudy weather didn’t keep crowds away after forecasters said showers would hold off for the parade. Melbourne is set to hit a top of 21 degree Celsius with cloudy skies and a chilly breeze.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Dean Stewart said that the weather is going to cloudier than the present, with the chance of light showers.
