Meliá will open a new resort in Phuket in 2021

Meliá Hotels International will open a new Thai resort in 2021.

Meliá Hotels International which is a known brand dominated much of Europe and Latin America has currently 48 properties that are either in operation or under development across seven countries — including Thailand, where it plans to open a new hotel on the resort island of Phuket.

Meliá Phuket Mai Khao is scheduled to open in 2021 and it will be Meliá’s fifth property in Thailand. Located on the northwest coast of Phuket along Mai Khao Beach — known for its tropical reef clusters just offshore — it will have 101 private villas, each of which will have its own private pool. Elsewhere, it will boast lush courtyards, two pools, a spa, several food-and-beverage outlets, and an unspecified amount of meeting space.
