MICE events in Macao are set to boost community economy

Thursday, June 2, 2022

In Macao, in 15 upcoming MICE events, an estimated attendance of more than 100,000 is expected to occur, making the most of “Tourism + MICE” to help enhance community economy.

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute is set to arrange and follow-up different mega MICE events in the coming June and July, including the 13th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum, the 2022 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair along with a particular MICE event for the murder mystery game, a popular one in the Mainland and first organized in Macao.

Other MICE events include big health industry, information technology, tourism, arts, culture and business and trade.
IPIM at the time of the event will host exhibitors and trade visitors to witness Macao’s exclusive culture by exploring the local community shops.

Besides other activities and events hosted in the same time, the advantages of “Tourism + MICE” will thus be made use in the best way to encourage catering and hotel industries and retail, thereby improving the community economy.

IPIM will monitor the recent situation of COVID-19 closely and stay connected with the event organisers.

IPIM has taken reference from the anti-epidemic measures of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the rules of the Macao Health Bureau. All visitors at the venue will have to go through a temperature check, and produce the “Macao Health Code”.
