Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has appointed Michael Melzer as the general manager of Mӧvenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives scheduled to open in November 2018.
Melzer holds more than 35 years’ experience in the hospitality industry serving mostly in the Asia Pacific region. He has been in the hospitality industry for more than four decades.
In his last role he was the general manager of Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa, a luxury sea-facing property in Vietnam.
Gerard Hotelier, vice president, operations for Asia at Mövenpick was delighted to welcome to the hotel as they will debut in the Maldives.
He said that Gerard has an expert knowledge of the Asia pacific region and has handled high-end resorts. The new hotel is one of the country’s most exciting openings to date and Micheal’s passion for hospitality, analytical vision and motivational skills will maximize the hotel’s potential and exceed guests’ expectations.
The new resort will feature 72 overwater pool villas, 30 beach pool suites and three beach spa pool residences.
There will be private swimming pools along with feature recreational facilities for a broad range of guests be it honeymooners or adventure seekers.
