22-year-old Sam Tinsly from Bootle who was one of the passengers witnessed the ‘disruptive’ pair who had started swearing and shouting on the flight that was heading to Antalya in Turkey from Manchester.
The two women were met by some police officers on the runway.
Thereafter, they were issued fines that might go up to £90 each. The police mentioned that they would be required to pay up immediately or face further action. The footage from inside the plane showed one of the ladies being escorted off by the security officials amidst loud cheers from the passengers of the plane.
Witness Sam told the media that one of the staff members of the flight had alerted the captain and they decided to land the airplane keeping in mind the safety of the passengers.
The footage captured by Sam shows a woman clad in black top waving to her fellow passengers on the flight even as she is being led away.
A spokeswoman from Essex police asserted that the police was summoned to reports of two disruptive women passengers on board the aircraft at Stansted a short while prior to 4 p.m. on 21st June. The women were then removed from the flight and issued with a penalty notice for public order offences.
Later, a spokeswoman from EasyJet confirmed that the flight to Manchester had to be intervened by the police after it was diverted to London Stansted.
After the incident, it made its way to Antalya.
