Milan promotes Seychelles tourism through its taxis

Tourism Seychelles and taxis in the Italian city of Milan are promoting the island archipelago by branding 100 taxis to ply their trade in one of the greatest cities of Italy and an icon in the fashion world. This is believed to make the people  consider Seychelles  as their next vacation spot. These branded taxis can be seen roaming the city from the month of February in Milan, Italy.

Scenic  and the beautiful beaches of the island archipelago are prominently featured outside the taxis and the internal upholstery is made in partnership with several brands like Alpitour, Azemar, Cartorange, Evolution Travel, Glamour, Horca Myseria, I Grandi Viaggi, Idee per Viaggiare, Naar and Quality Group who have branded the interior of 10 taxis each and featured special  QR codes inside these taxis which will take the riders to dedicated pages selling tour packages to Seychelles.

Mrs. Danielle Di Gianvito, the Italian Tourism Seychelles representative stated that the partnership with Tour Operators in order to make Seychelles more visible in the global tourism map. They are targeting the summer and spring time vacation goers and many other potential tourists.

The officials feel that in the year when tourism industry was blasted by the pandemic, this taxi campaign was the best method of promoting tourism in Seychelles. They also stated that their Italian tour partners were thrilled to be on board with the project and feel that the QR codes will help to generate small and medium term bookings.

This campaign has been successfully able to generate interest in the island nation tourism according to the first enquiries and sales reports. This proves that the taxi campaign was successful in advertising Seychelles as a popular tourist destination to Italians.

The wide range of scenic beauties, natural vistas, cultural diversity, gastronomic delights and the unparalleled beaches and landscapes make Seychelles an attractive tourist destination.  This coupled with it being one of the few long haul destinations open to the Italian tourists due to the tourist corridors makes it a very attractive to tourism. 745 Italian tourists have landed in Seychelles as of the 6th week in 2022 and the bookings to the island nation have shown an incredible increase.
