Shri Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir launched the 3rd tourism working group meeting at SKICC Srinagar with the attendance of important ministers and dignitaries. The opening service was joined by the representatives of G20 nations, global organizations and requested countries.

During the event, Mr. Sinha said that under India’s G20 Presidency, the G20 tourism working group is
concentrating on five inter-connected precedence areas that will deliver a clear plan for tourism as an
instrument for attaining maintainable growth objectives.

Sinha also said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jammu & Kashmir will quickly
find its position among the best 50 places in the world and it will feature in the bucket list of worldwide
travelers. After an extended hiatus of nearly four decades, J&K has revitalized its connection with
Bollywood and revealed a film strategy in 2021 to draw more funding in the film division and to make Jammu Kashmir a sought after film shooting destination.

Minister G. Kishan Reddy while speaking in the inaugural meeting said that the Ministry of Tourism is
eager to work with G20 countries to uphold sustainable tourism in India and also globally.
