Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga said that his government would carry on making substantial efforts for tourism promotion in the state.

CM Zoramthanga said that blessed with an unsoiled environment and stunning scenery, Mizoram has high prospective for eco-tourism. The potentials of the state like clean surroundings and satisfactory climate conditions, among others, need to be utilized for attracting tourists. He said this while gracing the concluding ceremony of the Anthurium festival on Saturday.

After a two year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Mizoram tourism department held a two-day Anthurium festival at Reiek resort, which is about 25 kms southwest of Aizawl.

Zoramthanga said that Mizoram is blessed with productive soil for agriculture, which could help in boosting the state’s economy.

He said that the state government would carry on improving tourism and would approach financial institutions in case of requirements.

Zoramthanga added that certain services at Reiek resort would be improved.

Mizoram Tourism Minister Robert Romawia Royte, who also adorned the event, said that the state government would execute an ‘infrastructure revolution’ programme along Reiek to Ailawng range.

He also said that several projects under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) system among others are on the way.
