Montage Hotels & Resorts launches 20th anniversary SIMKHAI capsule collection

Montage Hotels & Resorts and SIMKHAI announce the SIMKHAI x Montage exclusive capsule collection. To commemorate its monumental 20th anniversary, Montage Hotels & Resorts has partnered with renowned women’s luxury ready-to-wear designer, SIMKHAI, who has dressed the likes of Michelle Obama, Katie Holmes, Beyonce and Gigi Hadid, among others.

The SIMKHAI x Montage exclusive collection is the first-ever hotel collaboration for the designer and will feature both a full sleep and swimwear collection inspired by the designer’s favorite Montage getaways.

SIMKHAI’s label is known for blending progressive construction techniques with intimate hand-detailing to create truly special garments and lifestyle designs, inspired by his travels and the cities he calls home. Originally hailing from New York, Jonathan Simkhai and his family have been frequent guests at Montage Laguna Beach since their move to Los Angeles in 2018 and have also vacationed regularly at Montage Healdsburg and Montage Deer Valley.

“We visit Montage Laguna Beach when we need to escape and slow down. The resorts have always been a source of inspiration to me, and I wanted to create a line of pieces you can take with you from property to property,” said Simkhai. “This collection is inspired by the essence of each Montage escape and the idea of seeing the memories from each resort reflected in the garments.”

The collection’s custom print is artfully inspired by the Montage script “M” logo with hand painted brush strokes in each property’s signature color, creating a one-of-a-kind wave motif that singularly captures the essence of the sun, sea and mountains embodied in the Montage Hotels & Resorts experience that Simkhai and his family enjoy. The featured design is included in a matching his-and-her swimwear collection influenced by the designer’s fondness of Montage Laguna Beach’s Mosaic Pool in fast-dry performance fabrics, along with an elevated sleepwear collection as well as colorful pareos, graphic tees and accessories including a signature sleep mask, reversible bucket hat and square silk scarf.
