Montenegro forum discusses China’s expanding tourism market

The Milocer Development Forum in Cetinje, Montenegro saw discussion by economic experts and stakeholders in tourism across the Balkans discussed the development model based on tourism. It considered China as the world’s biggest expanding market.

The President of the Association of Economists and Managers of Montenegro Veselin Vukotic opened a keynote speech at the annual economic forum under the topic “Economic Development Based on Tourism — Challenges and Threats”.

He paid more attention to the tourism boom coming from China and said that Montenegro needs to produce human resources, especially tour guides  experts in cultural heritage of their country, along with the culture of the people who arrive to visit.

Various aspects of Chinese tourism market like adapting market for Chinese tourist and the importance of understanding Chinese culture and language were discussed.

According to Lin Yan, vice president of China’s U-Tour group,the number of Chinese tourists in most countries of the region is increasing due to liberalization of visa regime.

She mentioned that with further establishment of direct flights to regional counties will cater to the interest of Chinese tourist.
