A tourism jobs boom in Queensland has led to more people getting employed in the sector compared to the times before the pandemic.
As per latest figures, there are 233,000 people working in the tourism and hospitality industries, which is an increase of approximately 5,000 workers compared to 2019.
Tourism leaders are calling it a success story after analysis from last year showed a loss of 40,000 jobs.
There are still 4,000 positions in tourism and hospitality which are yet to be filled.
