russiaAfter 20 years of absence, more than 11,000 Moroccan fans will travel to Russia to support the national team to see the World Cup and it is estimated that 8,500 supporters from the kingdom will travel along with 3,000 others from other European countries.
A sizeable number of Atlas Lions are already in Russia and the Moroccan embassy in Russia is all set to welcome thousands of supporters arriving there. There are further plans for the establishment of communication units facilitating countrywide access for the Moroccans.
The travel will be organised between cities hosting the games of the Atlas Lions.
A joint collaboration between Morocco’s Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and Royal Air Maroc offers Moroccan fans planning of  travelling to Russia to fly from Casablanca, Oujda, Tangier, or Marrakech to three Russian destinations at affordable rates. The roundtrip will be as low as MAD 5,000.

The FRMF, RAM and the ministry stated  that the flag-carrier will channelize 13 airplanes to carry 2,500 passengers to see the Atlas Lions’ games in Russia.

The first game of the Moroccan national team will be against Iran on June 15 in St. Petersburg and  second game will be against Portugal on June 20 in Moscow.
Sadly,  around 100 football fans from the North East will not be allowed to go to the World Cup as they are banned from watching matches.Further a total of 126 fans – 81 who support Newcastle United and 45 who support Sunderland – are subjected to banning orders. Chances are high that they have to surrender their passports during the tournament or face a possible court appearance.
Sergeant Chris Blyth, head of Northumbria Police’s Football Neighbourhood Policing Team said that only four banning was issued last season. He praised supporters for their good behaviour over the last 10 months and the passport surrender shows how big an impact a banning order can have.
The UK Football Policing Unit already issued a letter informing the individuals passport surrender, a consequences of acting inappropriately at a football match.
