In India, the region lying at the heart of the country can astonish even the most travelled visitor. Madhya Pradesh is excellent both in terms of its offerings and remotely untouched. In the wilderness of this central state in India, peacocks roam around in the wild through the exotic forest areas and tigers lurk through many of the best wildlife sanctuaries of the country. Madhya Pradesh is the home to 3 UNESCO World Heritage sites. It is also the abode of the highest population of tigers in the sub-continent and has plenty of beautiful locations and natural beauty. Also, it is known for a range of gastronomic amusements that originate from the kitchens of Gwalior, Bhopal, and Indore and a variety of art and craft which comprises the famous handloom fabrics of the world like Chanderi and Maheshwar.
Madhya Pradesh at ITB 2023 will highlight the huge variety which comprises projects related to rural and agri tourism, in addition to wellness and spiritual tourism. The state has held close Responsible Tourism as its mission with the target to reduce the negative financial, environmental and social effect of tourism and to offer tourists with pleasant experiences through more participation from the locals. Under this mission, rural tourism is one of the main projects and is being executed in 100 MP villages. This project is all set to portray the exclusivity of six cultural zones in MP.
