A multi-million dollar, brand-new tourism campaign has been unveiled to attract southerners to book a holiday in Queensland.
The “Seize the Days” campaign looks forward to attract more than 6 million visitors to the sunshine state and add more than $ 4 billion into the tourism segment.
This campaign is important with the state tourism superiors striving to stay ahead in the progressively tough market after the pandemic and continuing to inspire Australians to holiday at home.
Brett Fraser,Queensland Tourism Industry Council CEO said that these campaigns are extremely important for tourism.
Mr. Fraser said that it has been quite tough for the last few years; hence, such domestic visitor campaigns are unquestionably important for creating awareness and reminding people regarding the prospects to holiday at home.
He added that in the last twelve months, tourism has boomed across Australia locally, with everyone going out and exploring their own backyard like never before, and Queensland has really profited from that.
This year, Queensland has become the number one most visited state for the first time, after typically falling behind NSW and Victoria.
With international borders shut over the past few years, Australians had no other option but to explore their own country for holidays above all.
Tourism bosses said that they need to capitalize on this trend, with Queensland continuing to recover from the pandemic.
