Quito will organize a match on Sunday 27th November, wherein Rafa Nadal, world no. 2 tennis player, and Casper Ruud, no. 4 will take part. These elite athletes will have to go by a packed schedule of events as they discover the Ecuadorian capital.

Their agenda of activities comprises taking the one of the first trips on the Quito Metro, the first underground transport service of Ecuador that runs from the north of the capital to the south in just 34 minutes. It is the proof of the tourism of Quito and its solid commitment toward sustainability. The duo, upon their arrival at San Francisco station, will play a mini tennis match before their exhibition.

They will also meet a group of children from Patronato San José. It’s the municipality accountable for social support projects for the defenseless and then in the historic Plaza de San Francisco, they will arrange a press conference, which will be the starting point for the tennis players on their tour of Historic Centre of Quito, the first to be announced a World Heritage Site. They will find out its dramatic structural design and religious iconography, along with its several churches home to countless cultural and historical riches from the colonial times.

In conclusion, the schedule, on Sunday 27 November, will come to a close with the proposed exhibition match between Casper Ruud and Rafael Nadal at 5:30pm at the Coliseo Rumiñahui.
