Nashville-bound Frontier flight makes emergency landing

Frontier AirlinesA flight of Frontier Airlines that was travelling to Nashville from Las Vegas had made an emergency landing in New Mexico on Wednesday afternoon.

 

Frontier flight 1686 that was operating from Las Vegas to Nashville had landed safely and without any incidents in Albuquerque according to the spokesperson for the airline, Richard Oliver.

 

The plane that is an Airbus A320 had carried 178 passengers and six crew members.

 

Oliver said that safety is the highest priority of their company. And on account of caution this flight of Frontier Airlines had to be diverted owing to an odor inside the cockpit. Therefore this flight is expected to continue on to BNA shortly on the same aircraft.

 

The spokesman was unable to say where the odor was from.

 

The flight had left Las Vegas around 12.45 p.m. and had landed at 1.08 p.m. It was slated to land in Nashville at 4.22 p.m.
