On ‘Tourism for Tomorrow’, the Ministry of Tourism will very soon introduce national competition that would help to identify the case studies as well as the best practices that are associated with five priorities of G20 Goa roadmap. On the World Tourism Day, 27 th Sep, this competition will be launched. During the G20 Summit, the New Delhi Leaders Declaration’ which was adopted emphasized the importance of the ‘Goa Roadmap for Tourism which acts as a vehicle for attaining Sustainable Development Goals.
For tourism, New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration offers a new route with G20 Goa Roadmap highlighting the purposes, opportunities, challenges, and recommendations for tourism to attain sustainable development goals. Their correspondent reports that GOA Roadmap’, the main deliverable of the G20 Tourism Track of India, is a ground-breaking enterprise that offers a blueprint for sustainable global tourism.
The Goa roadmap, associated with the G20 Presidency theme of India, underlines tourism’s role in society, behind economy, and environmental stewardship. The roadmap aims on the five priorities like Digitalization, Skills, Green Tourism, Tourism MSMEs, and Destination Management. It also gives a complete plan for the countries to bring into line their rules related to tourism with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
