Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is ready to participate in the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) that would be hosted in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
The 21-member team of travel entrepreneurs was led by Madhu Sudhan Acharya, President, NATTA was travelling to the capital of Bangladesh to take part in the fair that commences from today, according to NATTA.
NATTA said that it is organizing Nepal Night with complete support from the NTB.
In its official statement NATTA said that in this grand tourism fair, various kinds of events would be organized to broadcast a positive message about Nepal to the people of Bangladesh.
Hari Bhakta Shrestha who is the conveyor of NATTA said that the Minister of Tourism of Bangladesh and other government officials associated with travel and tourism and also tourism entrepreneurs have also been invited to attend this fair. The National Tourism Policy -2016 states that NATTA is taking part in different fairs related to tourism in China, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Spain.
Besides, NATTA is also organizing Nepal Sales Mission in five cities in China according to the policy.
This policy aims to lure 1.5 million travellers to the nation by the end of the year 2020. As many as 22,490 Bangladeshi tourists had visited Nepal in the year 2013. This number slumped marginally to 22,185 in 2014. Similarly, 14,831 Bangladeshi tourists had visited Nepal in 2015 and the numbers increased to 20,715 Bangladeshi tourists to Nepal in 2016.
