On November 16, 2025, the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA), along with the Ministry of Agriculture from the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), took part in the prestigious Hook & Harvest event in Anguilla. This culinary celebration, which focuses on farm-to-table dining, was a ticketed event that presented a unique 10-course tasting menu. The dishes featured locally grown, caught, and reared ingredients, and the event served as a platform to emphasize the importance of sustainable food systems in the Caribbean.

Promoting Sustainable Practices through Local Produce

The event brought together farmers, fishers, chefs, and regional stakeholders, all working in unison to advocate for healthier and more sustainable food practices in the Caribbean. As part of its commitment to resilience and sustainability, the NIA made a valuable contribution to the event. They donated 130 fruit trees, which were given to each patron attending the event. This gesture not only reinforced the core message of eating and planting locally but also aligned with Nevis’s ongoing mission to improve food security and reduce non-communicable diseases across the region.

The second dish, Mango Mirage, was a smooth and silky mango panna cotta, complemented by a tropical trio of mango, passion fruit, and tamarind coulis, and topped with crunchy granola. These flavorful creations showcased Nevis’s dedication to innovative, sustainable culinary practices.
