New EnglandA tourism official based in New Hampshire has said that the growth in international tourist arrivals has actually surpassed the domestic growth in New England.

The director of New Hampshire’s Division of Travel and Tourism Development named Victoria Cimino said that New England had received approximately 2.1 million international tourists in the year 2015. These tourists had spent about $2.1 billion at that point of time.

She went on to add that Canada and United Kingdom continue to be strong target markets as much as Japan, Italy, France and Germany.

Victoria Cimoni said that a part of the growth of New Hampshire has been measured by its meal tax and room. It amounted to $300 for the fiscal year 2016 that marks a 3% rise above the expectations.

Last week, she had spoken in Concord at the New Hampshire Travel Council’s annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
