WTM London is a confluence as well as a springboard of ideas. About 170 new exhibitors including airlines, movie-set tour providers, adventure operators, sports venues, tourist boards, destination marketing companies, tech innovators and car-hire companies have made debut in WTM London 2018.

New airlines that have landed in the event are Air Transat (U.S.), Go Airlines (India), Royal Brunei Airlines (Middle East) and Icelandair (Iceland).

The Armenian Tourism Development Foundation and the National Tourism Office of Djibouti are greenhorns at the WTM London 2018.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) Tourist Board packs the best of 60 unspoiled islands stitched into one destination. It returns to WTM London after seven-year hibernation and the event will help it to rise again like the proverbial Phoenix from the Hurricane Irma damage.

Acknowledging the support to the BVI relief efforts, funds raised, volunteering time and donation by the UK travel industry and friends of the BVI, Ginny Hawksley, and managing consultant for BVI Tourist Board said that it is their responsibility and duty to present themselves in this event.

Amidst the regional representatives, Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau – ‘the portal between Japan and the tropics’; and Tamilnadu Tourism Department marks their territory in WTM London 2018.

Tour company CHERNOBYLwel.come which walks the visitors through the ghost town of Pripyat and the surrounding region has made its appearance in the event.

Upcoming enhancements to the QE2 hotel, which is now docked permanently at Dubai’s Mina Rashid, include a swimming pool, gym and private beach.

QE2 floating hotel anchored in WTM London 2018 will help to flash this new concept to the important markets.  According to Katie King, director of marketing for the QE2, WTM is a key part of their sales and marketing strategy.

Travel Forward is the new technology-focussed event co-located with WTM London. Over 60 new exhibitors revolving around the future of technology in the travel and hospitality industry made their presence.  For example, Travel Ledger, a B2B billing and settlement platform, is built using Ethereum Blockchain technology. It automates the travel purchasing and payment process across the entire distribution chain replacing the manual billing.

As per Roberto Da Re, CEO, Travel Ledger, WTM London and Travel Forward will help to raise awareness of their project ahead of the launch in 2019.

‘Fly Now Pay Later’ provides the hassle-free way to pay for travel.  WTM London is welcoming new exhibitors from the world of sport – Wembley National Stadium and Manchester City FC.

WTM London, Senior Director, Simon Press, said: “With 170 new exhibitors – covering premier sporting venues, prime-location accommodation, new and established destinations and attractions, transport providers and technology innovators – this year’s WTM London and Travel Forward boasts the greatest collection so far of diverse travel and tourism organisations from across the globe under one roof at ExCeL in London.”
