Dubai once again will be boosted as the two major hotel chains Melia in the Middle East and a second Raffles will build new hotels in the emirates.
ME by Melia is planning to open ME Dubai at the end of 2018.
The hotel will be based in the 95 metre-high Opus building, designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid, in the Burj Khalifa district in central Dubai.
The property will feature 93 rooms across 19 floors as well as 98 serviced apartments.
Meanwhile, AccorHotels has agreed a deal to manage a Raffles-branded hotel and residences within the new Palm360 development on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah group of man-made islands.
The two-tower property will have 125 hotel rooms and suites, as well as 359 residences including 16 penthouses for sale.
Raffles The Palm Dubai Hotel and Raffles Residences Palm360 are scheduled to open in 2021.
This will be the brand’s second property in the emirate – it already operates Raffles Dubai in Wafi City.
