Bartlett in an exclusive interview with Arab News said that the new agreement of tourism would increase the opportunities related to investment in Jamaica and the Kingdom as well.
Bartlett said that this MoU will be sharing the best practices between the two nations involved in it. It will help build human capital and develop skill sets in tourism which are new and exciting to explore. In the coming three years, he said that they are moving to get the first 100,000 visitors.
He also added that for Jamaican and Caribbean products, this MoU is a great opportunity to find their way to Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabian products to enter the Caribbean.
Bartlett also observed that Jamaica is all prepared for investments as the pandemic did not affect the economic infrastructure of the country in an adverse manner.
Bartlett said that they want to point to the fact that the economic climate in Jamaica is favorable for investment because COVID-19 did not devastate their economy.
As per the minister, already Jamaica has registered five consecutive quarters of financial growth since the pandemic.
The minister emphasized that at 5.7 percent, the last quarter ended, and by the end of the calendar year, the island nation is predicted to grow in the range of 6 percent.
