New tourist hub in Uzbekistan creates jobs

This autumn, Silk Road Samarkand, the brand-new tourist cluster in Uzbekistan, opened its doors to the visitors. 


The range of contemporary hotels, restaurants, wellness services, and attractions for the tourists guarantee to be transformative for the local tourism.


In Central Asia, Silk Road Samarkand is the only tourist center of such a level and with the hotels and services on offer, the resort is anticipated to experience twofold tourist numbers coming to the region.


Also, businesses expect that tourists will be motivated to stay for more days, which in return would boost up the local economy and generate more job opportunities.


The Cluster General Manager of Samarkand Regency Amir Timur, Roland Obermeier, and Savitsky Plaza Hotels stated that the new luxury services available in the resort signify that Samarkand can speed up its tourist offering.


The construction of tourist infrastructure for the Silk Road resort has generated over two thousand job opportunities, improving employment opportunities of the locals of Samarkand, who may or else would have looked for work abroad.


A concierge assistant at the Samarkand Regency Amir Timur Hotel, Umid Ulugbekov, told Euronews that he considers himself “extremely lucky” for the getting the opportunity to learn from his role.


As per Dias Khalkunov, the manager, Silk Road Samarkand, those associated with the hotels are trained to the standards of international recognition, with an aim on computer programs, communication, and guest service skills.
