Next six months crucial for Goa tourism

For getting good tourists, Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that the next six months will be decisive for the state when it comes to tourism development.


The minister, however, sounded hopeful that the coming season will augur well for tourism in Goa.


During the launch of a family restaurant Al Zargham at the Reliance Trade Center in Margao on Sunday, the Tourism Minister said that he is positive about attracting both domestic and international tourists in Goa.


Furthermore, Khaunte said that Goa is going to witness nautical tourism, with around 60 cruise ships expected to visit the state.


He said that these six months are extremely important in terms of tourism in Goa. After these six months, the coming season can be expected to be good. After the pandemic scenario has been a good time for the Goa tourism department. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is generating maximum opportunities to strengthen the tourism services and create new infrastructure concerning attracting quality tourists in Goa.


Khaunte said that with the assistance of the Tourism Board and by taking the industry on board, Goa is going to witness a promising season when it comes to tourism.


In the meantime, the Tourism Minister said that Goa is now being considered as the food capital of India.

He said that the inauguration of the new family restaurant in Margao will create a prospect for the locals along with tourists to savor the cuisine of various countries, in addition to Goan. The Tourism Minister inaugurated the Al Zargham restaurant in the presence of several other dignitaries.
