Ningxia experiences major boom in wine tourism

As an up-and-coming area in the world producing quality wine, the eastern foot of Helan Mountain in China’s northwest region, Ningxia, is currently experiencing a major boom in wine tourism.

Yuanshi Vineyard is a classic Chinese-style winery. It has a 10-kilometer-long stone wall and is constructed on an abandoned sand quarry. Visitors coming to this place can taste good wine and at the same time learn about its history and culture.

Ningxia has over 210 vineyards among which 40 percent have turned into tourism spots, welcoming 60,0000 tourists annually.
