This week co-founders of Nobu Hospitality – Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper – were celebrated as up-and-coming hoteliers at the BDWest Awards 2018, held in Los Angeles on the first day of the BDWest Hospitality Design Conference.
Recognized by the industry as the visionaries behind the ground-breaking hotel group, the prestigious award is given to hoteliers who actively stay ahead of the hospitality curve, replacing conventional wisdom with revolutionary new ideas.
Picking up the award on behalf of Nobu Hospitality, CEO Trevor Horwell, commented: “We are very proud to win such a coveted award. This is a testament to the continuing efforts of the whole team at Nobu Hospitality, as we move towards our growth expansion goal for 20 Nobu Hotels by 2020.”
“Our Up-and-Coming Hoteliers award demonstrates once again how powerful individual voices can be in the hospitality industry,” says Mary Scoviak, executive editor, Boutique Design, and conference director, HMG. Scoviak adds: “Like our previous honorees, these thought-leaders have combined creativity with operational innovation to create hotels that define what’s on travelers’ bucket lists. Size doesn’t matter; vision does.”
Taking place April 4-5 in Downtown L.A., Boutique Design West is the premier trade fair and conference for hospitality design professionals based or working in the western U.S., Hawaii, Canada and Mexico.
