Euronics, a leader in automated washroom solutions, has secured the contract to implement sustainable and smart washroom facilities at the upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. Positioned to become India’s largest greenfield airport, spanning 1,334 hectares, NIA is focused on achieving its net-zero emissions target through a variety of environmentally friendly initiatives. As part of this commitment, the airport has partnered with Euronics to install advanced automated washroom systems that aim to reduce the environmental footprint.
This contract, awarded to Euronics by Tata Projects, the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractor for NIA, comes after a competitive selection process. Euronics will equip a total of 280 washrooms across the airport, including 40 accessible facilities for differently-abled passengers and 50 premium lounge washrooms. The state-of-the-art solutions include sensor-operated taps, hand dryers, urinal flushers, and smart hand sanitizers, all designed to conserve energy, minimize water consumption, and improve hygiene.
As part of the agreement, Euronics will also install over 65 sanitary napkin dispensers and provide baby care rooms with more than 45 diaper-changing stations throughout the airport. Inclusive washroom solutions for differently-abled individuals will feature shower seats, grab bars, and other accessible designs to ensure a seamless experience for all passengers.
In a bid to provide ongoing service and support for the project, Euronics has opened a new office in Sector 62, Noida. The company is also engaged in several other prominent projects in the region, including Bhutani’s Cyberthum and Cyber Park, The Iconic Corenthum by Beaver International, and Sharda University.
