Norfolk cruise season to witness a busy October this year

 Friday, October 20, 2017

cruise linesThis month Norfolk has been welcoming almost more than a dozen cruise vessel dockings that are on the schedule for the Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center.

Earlier this city had hosted its grandest cruise ship ever known as the Mein Schiff 6, that had ended up spending a day in Downtown Norfolk.

Over 2,500 passengers from the German-ported cruise vessel had spent time and also a certain amount of cash in Hampton Roads. Other upcoming port-of-call stops include another stop from the Mein Schiff 6, Carnival Sunshine and the AIDA Luna. The Carnival Sunshine marks an embarkation point for many 5-day cruises to the Bahamas and back.

It can carry over 3,000 passengers at a time.

Furthermore there are two cruise ships that are scheduled to visit in November.

During the port-of-call stops, passengers generally go on excursions to the other parts of Hampton Roads or even take some time to explore downtown regions of Freemason and the Ghent neighborhoods on foot.
