It stated that increasing costs of air travel may create a boundary in terms of affordability for external tourists.

It also mentioned that the sector will have to alleviate against the dependency of airplane and the rise of the prices of carbon.

In Northern Ireland, air routes are the important medium of travel by which foreign tourists arrive to the country.

The research explained that air travel dependency creates a huge risk as prices of carbon may keep on increasing in the future, causing in lessening of airline demand.

Northern Ireland will require creating a balance between organizing the risks associated with carbon price rise as well as upholding airport connectivity between target tourist markets.

Air travel is one of the most contentious spots in terms of net-zero emissions policy. It will be hard to handle jet engines that use less-polluting technologies and governments are not willing to say yes to the policies which will make travel even more costly.

From other countries, the research pin points instances to show that any extra taxes should be used to finance climate and environment related projects.

Also, the study says that the industry requires foreseeing and restricting over tourism issue in which the tourist numbers and behavior impacts local communities in a negative way.
