Norwegian has appointed Jacob Schram as the new chief executive

 

 

After the surprise departure of Bjorn Kjos In July, Geir Karlsen led the airline on an interim basis and will be working in the role of chief financial officer and deputy chief executive.

 

 

He felt pleased to announce that Jacob Schram has been appointed new chief executive of Norwegian, after a thorough search process.

 

 

The  extensive management experience from global companies of Schram, proven leadership skills, strong commercial consumer orientation and impressive track record of value creation will greatly benefit Norwegian as the company enters into a new phase.

 

He was looking forward to work with Jacob Schram and the rest of the Norwegian management team.

 

 

They will work together to drive efficiency and continuous improvements to the benefit of their customers, shareholders and employees stated Niels Smedegaard, chairman of the board of directors at Norwegian.

 

 

Schram holds around 30 years of experience at large international companies and previously worked with Circle K, Statoil Fuel & Retail, McDonalds and McKinsey.

 

He held the process of publicly listing SFR as chief executive on the Norwegian Stock Exchange in 2010.

 

 

In 2012 when Couche-Tard acquired SFR he was the group president for Europe until he stepped down in 2018.
