Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. operates 7 day Caribbean cruise from Florida on Saturdays and stopping at Puerto Plata allowing the passengers to take a cable-car ride to the peak of Mount Isabel de Torres before resuming the voyage to the U.S. Virgin Islands.

After trying to leave a port in Dominican Republic, the Norwegian Escape belonging to the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. had ran aground. This had cut the Caribbean vacation of thousands of passangers short so the operator can repair the damage of the ship. This ship, the Norwegian escape had hit a channel bed as it was departing Puerto Plata on Monday. The damage sustained to the hull was minor. The company has halted the cruise and also cancelled another cruise that was to start from March 19.

The cruise returned to the dock in Puerto Plata where it’s currently located. Norwegian Ltd. will be disembarking the passengers over the next few days in Puerto Plata.
