Now, J&K is opening up more MICE Tourism

In 2022, after witnessing a record footfall of tourists, majorly in and adventure and leisure tourism because of the sustained efforts of the Tourism Department of the state and the stakeholders in the last two years, the Jammu & Kashmir tourism department is opening to MICE tourism.


In the last few months, several delegations from major corporate have visited Kashmir and many more are expected to visit in the coming seasons. The executives from Make My Trip and other travel companies these days are in J&K with their hundreds of clients from the corporate world.


A group of these executives on yesterday had a talk with Sarmad Hafeez, the Secretary, Tourism, and informed him about their activities and plans for the future.


Guaranteeing all help and handholding from the Department and the stakeholders of tourism, Hafeez told the delegation that at present, J&K has sufficient infrastructure, tourism product range and services that match the best in the country, needed for MICE tourism.


The Tourism Secretary also told the delegation that the Department is working in a comprehensive way to draw visitors in various segments through a wide range of promotional activities, events, road shows, in addition to the introduction of fresh activities related to adventure and destinations to sustain visitor interests.


Sarmad Hafeez also mentioned to the delegation about the insertion of 75 remote places to the tourist map of and opening new trekking routes all over the UT.
