The year 2017 has been a very good year for the regional tourism sector of Lebanon.
During the initial eight months of 2017, 5,538,185 people had travelled to and from Beirut Airport.
On account of the rise in the number of travellers, the capacity of Beirut – Racfic Hariri International Airport would be expanded to accommodate as many as 5 million additional passengers.
As per the account of some of the sources, the Secretary- General of the Hotel Owners’ Association Wadih Kanaan believes that the number of travellers would be reaching 1.9 million by the end of this year.
Kanan has also gone on to add that the flights that had been arriving from the Gulf and Africa are completely booked between 19th and 26th December respectively.
