Odisha tourism department finding out alternative land for eco-retreat

The Odisha tourism department is currently keen on finding an alternative land for Daringbadi in Kandhamal district.

The eco-retreat for the last two years was being arranged at a land here with infrastructure development side by side.

In the meantime, according to a report, Sachin Ramchandra Yadav, the Tourism Director, assessed different activities in terms of eco-retreat project and explored tourist destinations along with nature parks that lie under the forest department.

The government of Odisha along with the Tourism Department are keen on finding locations which would serve best to the tourists in regard to communication and amenities. The local people showed their displeasure in regard to the change in the eco-retreat venue as they would lose their scope of earning as a result of this.

Over the infrastructure, the authorities have spent crores in the last two years. MLA Saluga Pradhan said that at present, the state tourism department is trying to find out new land and all set to invest big for that.
