To display the state’s tourism products at the event, a special kiosk was created. Few key highlights of the Odisha kiosk included exhibits on cultural heritage and sand art animations, portraying the landmarks of the state.
While introducing the kiosk, state’s tourism and culture minister Ashok Chandra Panda said: “With its effective tourism policy, Odisha is poised to attract more and more foreign tourists.”Odisha highlighted attractionss like Chilika Lake, Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary, Satkosia Tiger Reserve and the Sun Temple of Konark, said state tourism secretary Mona Sharma.
The World Travel Market had started in the city of London from Monday onward. It is one of the largest travel and tourism events in the world.
He further explained that Odisha had plenty of scope in terms of eco, religious and tribal tourism. Also, Odisha has taken up the proposal in terms of royal tourism and museum tourism, he said.
