Due to a suspected oil leak on Wednesday an IndiGo plane flying from Mumbai to Singapore was diverted to Nagpur as per the airline and the carrier had further sent the plane for inspection. So, on the first day of the new year, it was a scary moment for the passengers on board.
The model of the plane was not mentioned by the airline however, the aviation tracker Flight Radar showed the aircraft as an Airbus A320.
In another plane the passengers were sent to Singapore. IndiGo said that an alternate aircraft was arranged to accommodate the passengers and it took off with a delay of over five hours. The airlines apologized for the inconvenience caused to their passengers and it all happened at a time when Airbus’ competitor Boeing is currently through a rough patch over its 737 MAX model.
Many countries along with India have grounded the 737 MAX.
