In Oman, all commercial activities will remain close from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. local time from March 4th to March 20th. This move is part of the measure to fight coronavirus spread, on Monday Oman State TV reported this.

Also, authorities have decided to widen the distance learning mode for public schools from March 7th through March 11th. In this time frame, conditions will be reassessed, as per the official Oman News Agency (ONA).

Health authorities have emphasized the gravity of this situation in which the spread of virus is happening nationally as well as internationally, at the same time requesting everyone to obey all preventative measures to the tee and to stay away from gatherings “that have been scientifically proven to cause a large and dangerous outbreak of infection.”

The Ministry of Health of Oman has recently confirmed 141,808 total cases with 94 percent having recovered as of March 1st. The death toll reached 1,577.
