Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, the consul general of Switzerland in Mumbai as the Chief Guest and as the Guest of Honor graced the occasion. Mumbai’s well-known personalities, academicians and principles of 50+ top high schools took part in the event. The occasion marked the initiation of the Swiss Cultural Committee and the appointment of the (https://switzeducation.com/” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>SwitzEducation Ambassadors.
The event gave special emphasis on the significance of sustainability in tourism. It also marked how in sustainable tourism, Switzerland is leading the world. Swiss institutes taking part in the celebration emphasized their programs designed to meet the rising tourism and hospitality needs. Asslam I Shaikh, SwitzEducation President, clearly said in his speech the way tourism as a career can be the best alternative to the traditional careers.
Guest of Honor Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde also highlighted on Maharashtra’s different unexplored & ancient tourist spots and their getting a makeover. He defined that infrastructure can help change the tourism scenario of Maharashtra and India as a whole.
The dignitaries and delegates who took part in the event exchanged ideas on the way to partner and bring in the positive changes to promote exclusive tourism and the way to get the students ready for a great career in tourism that is more sustainable and nature friendly.
Also, the event saw recognition of Social Heroes like Firoza Suresh, first Cycle Mayor of Mumbai, Mansoor Ali, COVID fighter and air quality expert, Dr. Roshan and Dr. Sanjay Kantharia inspiring the society to make this world a better place to live.
