On Feb 25th, Kerala to arrange Global Responsible Tourism Summit

Responsible Tourism will be showcasing the amazing accomplishments in growing a globally-acclaimed sustainable tourism model in the last one-and-a-half decade and fortifying it even more by combining the emerging trends as well as demands. On February 25th, the deliberations of the summit will start with a Speakers Meet.

At the summit, as many as 15 foreign speakers will be present with 20 international speakers expressing their insights via virtual platform. In the event, delegates and speakers all over the country will take part which will see almost 200 attendees in total. On more than 12 topics, about 60 experts will be sharing their views at the summit that will feature a fascinating session with the title – Inspiring Stories from Destinations, where 100 visitors, comprising delegates, will tell about their travel experiences in the state.

VN Vasavan, Minister for Cooperation and Registration, will take the chair over the function where the MP – Shri Thomas Chazhikkadan, will be the chief guest.

Susan Ferguson, UN Women Representative and Dr Harold Goodwin, International Centre for Responsible Tourism Founder, on the occasion will bring the keynote address. Shri K S Srinivas, Kerala Tourism Principal Secretary, Shri P B Nooh, Kerala Tourism Director and Shri K Rupeshkumar , State Co-coordinator of RT Mission will be present as well.

The summit will have talks on creating linkages between RT activities and UN Women, will finish with the implementation of the refurbished ‘Kerala RT Declaration’ on February 27, formally.
