One dead, 20 delays and hundred stuck on board due to collision at Heathrow

Heathrow delays There were dozens of delay at the London’s Heathrow Airport due to an accident causing dozens of delay leading to death and injury after two airport staff vehicles collided with one another.
Hundred of people were stick on board and a British Airways engineer died due to injuries at a hospital when his vehicle slammed into another on the tarmac.

 

 

A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport said that they can confirm that following a serious accident involving two vehicles on their airfield, a British airways colleague has passed away. They showed their deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this accident and vouched full cooperation with the Police in the investigation which will follow.

 

 

Scotland Yard, headquarters of London’s Metropolitan Police Service, also confirmed the collision.

 

 

One male was said to have sustained a broken shoulder though his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing and so far there have been no arrests.

 

 

An investigative unit is looking into the matter.

 

 

With no explanation around  20 flights were delayed and hundreds of passengers were left stuck on their planes.

 

 

The airport replied to a social media user from Heathrow’s Twitter account that the incident will not to cause any impact on journeys.
