Oneida County Tourism President has been appointed to a New York State Tourism Advisory Council.
Gov. Kathy Hochul appointed Oneida County Tourism President Kelly Blazosky to the New York State Tourism Advisory Council last week to represent Oneida County and the Central New York ILNY Vacation Region, as per a statement released from Blazosky’s office.

Blazosky’s term on the New York State Tourism Advisory Council is effective until January 11, 2025.
Blazosky has worked in the travel and tourism industry for 23 years, in both New York and Ohio.

The state council is made up of tourism professionals that have been nominated to assist the New York State tourism sector and advise the state’s Division of Tourism on how to foster economic growth through tourism.

“Oneida County and Central New York are blessed with an abundance of amazing natural assets, welcoming communities, and visitor experiences,” Blazosky said in a statement.

“I’m honored to be appointed to the State’s Tourism Advisory Council and support the State’s tourism promotional efforts.”

Blazosky has led the promotion of Oneida County as Central New York’s Getaway Region since 2009.
Oneida County Tourism hopes to attract tourists through active public relations and smart marketing in a variety of industrial sectors such as leisure, meetings, sports, travel commerce, and film/tv production.

Tourism marketing activations for Oneida County have been recognised with awards for excellence in tourism marketing and recovery/resurgence campaigns from the New York State Tourism Industry Association, as well as a national graphic design award from Graphic Design USA, under Blazosky’s leadership. Under Blazosky’s guidance, Central New York has received 10 Communicator Awards, a prestigious Telly award for Brew Central’s online video series, and a brand and integrated marketing award from the United States Travel Association.

“Kelly is a well-respected and dynamic leader of Oneida County’s tourism industry and the greater Central New York Tourism Region,” said Oneida County Tourism Board Chair Lee Arthur, General Manager of Delta Hotels by Marriott Utica in a statement.

“Her creative and proven expertise in destination marketing, not-for-profit management, and industry advocacy will be an asset to the Tourism Advisory Council. Our Board of Directors is honored and supports her appointment by Gov. Hochul.”
